Your Final EDT Data Call for T3
As we approach the end of the academic year, it is time for our fourth and final data collection point, Term 3 (T3). For schools using the Evolve Development Tracker (EDT), this is the most critical window of the year. The data captured now allows you to measure the distance travelled from your initial baselines and provides a robust evidence base to showcase wellbeing and pastoral outcomes to parents, governors, and Ofsted.
To ensure your end-of-year impact reports are comprehensive, we require the completion of the following three surveys within the next two weeks:
1. The Wellbeing Compass (Pupils)
We ask that all participating students complete this 24-question survey. It tracks progress across six essential domains: Sleep, Diet, Physical Activity, Emotional Wellbeing, Personal Development, and Self-Efficacy. This data is vital for identifying children who may still require additional support and for diagnosing non-academic barriers to progress.
2. The Classroom Climate Survey (Teachers)
This is a high-speed, high-impact tool for class teachers. It takes only 5 minutes per class to complete. By comparing T3 results with earlier data, school leaders can objectively assess improvements in the learning environment and track the effectiveness of classroom-based interventions.
3. The Pupil Performance Survey (Teachers)
We strongly encourage teachers to complete this five-question survey for each pupil in their cohort, particularly if they provided responses earlier in the year. This allows the EDT to paint a holistic picture of a child’s development, combining teacher observations with objective MIS data on attendance and behaviour to evidence genuine academic and personal growth.
Why This Matters for Ofsted
Ofsted’s current framework places a “golden thread” on how leaders meet the needs of vulnerable children. The T3 data from the EDT acts as your primary auditing tool, providing objective proof of how your pastoral investments have closed the “Wellbeing Gap” and improved learning behaviours across the year.
Support and Guidance
The surveys are designed to be self-explanatory; however, if you require assistance, guidance videos are available in the Tutorials section of the EDT staff page.

Let’s finish the year by celebrating the measurable impact you have made on your pupils’ lives.
