LEAP

Empowering secondary students to succeed

Our society’s future depends on the success of our children and young people. Each young person not in education, employment or training at 16 will cost our economy £56,000 over their lifetime. They are also more likely to suffer poor mental and physical health. Evolve’s LEAP programme enables pupils to take ownership of the next stage in their lives, removing barriers to further education and employment.

Improving School Culture

LEAP brings our proven model of holistic wellbeing to secondary schools. We focus on the most vulnerable and disengaged students, with 1 to 1 mentoring which motivates them to achieve their goals. LEAP also includes Peer Mentoring, where older students work with younger students on a social action project. Evolve will tailor the programme to your setting, with creative interventions that help everyone make healthier choices. All this helps to reduce exclusions, improve attainment and encourage positive behaviour.

Health Mentors

Our team of dedicated staff are called Health Mentors. They act as a positive role model, listening ear and helpful guide for children and young people. As well as 1 to 1 mentoring, our Health Mentors can deliver physical activity, staff and family engagement, after-school clubs and classroom support. All our Health Mentors are committed to changing children’s lives, and achieve a Learning Mentor Level 3 qualification in their first year with us.
