The ESFA have almost certainly taken 0.5% of your annual wage bill from your budget and the only way for you to recoup this funding is to train your workforce using new apprenticeship courses.
HOWEVER, THERE IS A PROBLEM
Just 8% of apprenticeship levy funds have been spent in the 10 months since the scheme’s launch, with £1.28bn of £1.39bn paid in by businesses “sitting unused” in accounts, according to an Open University analysis. For schools, the main challenge is the lack of apprenticeship standards that their levy funding can be used for.
FORTUNATELY, THERE IS A SOLUTION
We have found a way to access your levy funding so that you can now train your teaching support staff using our established and effective Health Mentor Training Programme.
WHY IS THIS SUCH A GOOD USE OF LEVY FUNDING?
- Teaching support staff are often overlooked with CPD opportunities
- Addressing concerns about children’s mental health and physical wellbeing is a challenge for many schools
- Investing in teaching and learning is aligned with your school development plan
