XLR8 Holiday Courses – Could you be the next successful entrepreneur with a Big Idea?

The six-week summer holidays are a substantial period of time to keep your children active, engaged and free from boredom. Fortunately, a variety of XLR8 holiday courses are taking place across the country that help to bridge the education attainment gap whilst promoting healthy and active lifestyles. All of the course details can be found on www.evolvesi.com/xlr8.

Each course is based upon one of four themes. Three of these – Superheroes, My Tribe, My Land and Roots to Routes – have already been explained in previous articles. This term presents the turn of My Big Idea to be dissected.

Has your child ever considered designing a new idea or concept? Could they be the next successful entrepreneur? Would they enjoy learning new skills whilst being active and making new friends? This course would definitely be suited to them!

After initially designing a unique product, children create their own logos, adverts, jingles, merchandise, promotional films and dances to bring their Big Idea to life. Yet that is the easy part. The week ends with a sales pitch presented to parents in a Dragon’s Den style format – will you be expressing “I’m in” on Friday afternoon?

However,  that is not all the course has to offer. Children are introduced to Core Impact activities that ensure they are maintaining and developing their English and Maths knowledge whilst also setting a baseline for their PB:ME (Personal Best: My Efforts) scores. Here they are encouraged to improve their physical fitness scores through a series of fun activities.

Each day also comprises of Vitality games that support social and physical skills through various activities developed by Evolve Health Mentors. Regular health discussions underpin these practical sessions by promoting the importance of healthy lifestyles.
