Three after-school workshops for teachers

  • Posted by Chris Lincoln
  • On 28th September 2016

Evolve is hosting three after-school workshops in October to give teachers the strategies to improve the health and wellbeing of both pupils and colleagues.

Speakers Dave Harris and Nina Jackson, of Independent Thinking Ltd, will give practical strategies to improve mental health.

Dave, a former school leader and author, will share creative and imaginative approaches to overcoming obstacles to wellbeing.

He said: “I will set the scene about the importance of mental wellbeing and put personal observations in a national setting with a few introductions to neuroscience.

“Teachers will gain insights into how the brain functions and practical strategies to improve the learning experience for the young people in their care

“Nina will show how to improve the mental health of students (and staff) in schools.”

There will be opportunities to listen, learn and discuss how to implement strategies, plus a chance to network.

You are invited to attend the sessions at:

  • Severn Primary School, Cardiff, on October 18th
  •  Nansen Primary School, Birmingham, on October 19th
  •  Arnbrook Primary School, Nottingham, on October 20th

All workshops start at 4pm for 4.30pm, with networking from 7pm.

To book, please email hannah@evolvesi.com
