Regional Manager practises what he preaches

Damon Fox, Evolve’s Regional Manager for Nottinghamshire, finished 69th out of over 2,000 competitors in the Run for All Nottingham 10k.

Damon does park runs every Saturday, but wanted to step up to the next distance and challenge himself further.

Evolve Health Mentors boost pupils’ wellbeing through physical activity, so it was a good opportunity to fly the flag.

As a manager, Damon spends a lot of work time sitting at a desk and on the road, but knows how important it is to keep fit and healthy.

“I am taking my own steps towards Evolve’s mission to improve not just my physical health, but my mental and emotional health too, and therefore my work-life balance,” he says.

“I also really enjoy running, so decided to do the 10k as a way to raise money for the Lindsey Lodge Hospice, where my grandad passed away in February.”

Damon previously ran a half marathon and raised money for the Mind charity. His time was 42 minutes 11 seconds, which he was very happy with, as he had aimed for somewhere between 42 and 44 minutes.
