Being a Health Mentor is a rewarding job. You get to make a real difference to the lives of children you support. You are trained to a high level to ensure that you have the necessary skills and experience for this demanding role. You are supported by an amazing team of like-minded professionals who are as equally committed as you are.

Being a Health Mentor is a challenging job. You work with vulnerable children who often reject your input, initially. You work in stressful environments and are often isolated with no Evolve colleagues alongside you on a daily basis. The salary is not amazing and you do not have the holidays as school staff.

Current Vacancies

We are currently looking for outstanding candidates to become Health Mentors in Nottingham, Newark and Mansfield. The enquiry form is below should you wish to express interest in either of these roles.

Training and Support

Health Mentors benefit from unrivalled training and support whilst in the role. Children only get one chance at education and childhood so we need to ensure that our team is skilled, confident and supported from Day 1.

  • Level 4 Course in Health Mentoring

    This is our 9-month long induction programme that is accredited by a university partner and worth 60 credits

  • Performance Development

    Your Regional Manager will support you in every way possible including regular observations, progress reviews and goal setting

  • Team Meetings

    You will have the opportunity to meet regional colleagues on a termly basis to share best practice and learn from experienced Health Mentors

  • Annual Staff Conference

    This takes place in August every year to celebrate achievements, share successes and learn about new developments for the forthcoming year

  • Peer Mentoring

    All employees have the opportunity to join Evolve's Peer Mentoring Programme to coach and/or be coached by respected colleagues

  • Level 7 in Work Based Learning (Health Mentor)

    This masters degree course (available as MSc or MA) is the perfect opportunity to gain a higher level qualification whilst employed
