Starting with Evolve in December 2004 as a part time coach, Paul is currently Regional Manager for Yorkshire.
Graduating from York St John’s University with a combined honours degree in Physical Education and Psychology in 2001, Paul found work as a Lifestyle consultant with Sheffield International Venues. During his time there he was able to put into practice the theoretical work he has studied in the previous 5 years, providing advice on diets and exercise habits.
He then moved on to the role of Learning Mentor at a Primary school in Rotherham. It was here he first realised the impact sport and exercise could have in other areas of life; utilising his knowledge and his passion as a vehicle to help re-engage disaffected children back into learning. Paul ran the majority of Sport clubs in the school, organising inter and intra school fixtures.
A keen sportsman, he has represented teams in various sports (Football, Rugby, Cricket, Team fitness challenges, Mountain Biking) to various degrees of success. He has a firm belief that these experiences develop character in more ways than could be achieved in many other activities. He feels they also enable him to successfully work alongside a large diversity of people, both young and old, with the aim of achieving a common goal. High personal integrity and an ability to relate to and create trust in all, means he is able to develop and maintain good relations, with colleagues and school staff alike.
