A pioneer of external delivery of PE within primary schools; John has delivered innovative Physical Education programmes in over 1,000 primary schools in England and Wales.
John is a qualified teacher (QTLS), a school governor and a Fellow of the RSA.
His career has focused on improving children’s lives by designing and implementing innovative solutions within education, active leisure and learning.
John worked in conjunction with Awarding Bodies and Sector Skills Councils to raise the profile of vocational qualifications including Activity Leadership and has developed bespoke qualifications for Evolve’s Health Mentors.
Graham is a former PE teacher, sports development officer, FA staff coach, head of UK Sport for adidas, school governor and a Fellow of the RSA. He was Head of Global Grassroots in football at adidas and Head of UK Sport. A serial innovator, Graham has been responsible for delivering sports programmes into over 2,500 schools in the UK. He has a B.Ed in Movement Studies and is also a trustee of the No Limits (UK) Charitable Trust.
Business Development Manager
Joshua is responsible for helping extend the of our programmes across the UK. Joshua has been a Health Mentor and Regional Manager with Evolve, winning national awards in both roles. He is also the chair of governors at a large primary school in Birmingham.
Ashley is responsible for the operational performance of the company. He supports the team of Regional Managers to provide industry leading school support and guidance to staff. Ashley has been Head of Boys PE in a secondary school and a primary school PE teacher. He holds a PGCE in Physical Education, QTS, TAQA and a BA (Hons) in Sports Development and PE. He is also a school governor at a primary school in the West Midlands.
Wales and the Southwest
Joe’s background is in football coaching. Before re-locating to Wales he was a coach for Sunderland AFC and the Foundation of Light (SAFC) and a volunteer coach for Montagu and North Fenham FC for nine years in Newcastle upon Tyne. Joe has coached internationally in Spain for Sunderland in partnership with ‘Inglaterra en Casa’. He is currently coaching for Pencoed FC under 7’s in Bridgend. Joe was promoted from a Health Mentor to Regional Manager.
Amie’s experience in the world of sport includes 21 junior Welsh hockey appearances, winning a European Silver Medal & Redditch Sports Personality of the Year; she currently plays for Stourport in the Investec National League. Amie is chairperson of the Redditch Netball League team – Alvechurch Panthers. Amie drew on all of this experience in her role as a Health Mentor before moving into the regional management team. Amie has previously worked as a performance analyst in the Premier League, where her experience of handling data allows her to lead on Evolve’s impact reporting systems. She is an Academy Associate & holds: 1st Class BSc (Hons) Sports Science and MSc Physical Activity, Exercise & Health Practices whilst working towards TAQA and Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education.
Ben is currently Evolve’s longest serving Regional Manager. Ben has a BA (hons) degree in Sports Studies and has gained various other qualifications including a Certificate in Education and Training from The University of Warwick. Ben is passionate about education and improving the lives of children through the work of Health Mentors. Ben leads on the development of systems and supports the induction of new Regional Managers as the organisation continues to expand.
Regional Manager and Health Mentor
Luke has a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science from Liverpool John Moores University. His dissertation researched the physical activity levels of secondary school pupils in a typical Physical Education lesson. His interests are football, cricket, golf, sport science and health.
Impact Sales Manager
Damon began his career with Evolve as a Health Mentor in Lincolnshire. He has since moved through the ranks as Regional Manager and now in a business development role to help introduce Evolve to a wider network of schools. Damon’s passion for improving children’s lives started when he worked with Camp America after leaving school. Damon has a Certificate in Education and Training from The University of Warwick and A Levels in Sport Studies, Leisure & Recreation and Psychology.
Alex was a Health Mentor for three years before moving into the Regional Manager position in August 2016. Alex won Regional Rookie Health Mentor of the Year in his first year with Evolve and won Regional Health Mentor of the Year in 2015/2016. Alex has a BA (Hons) in Sport and Leisure, Psychology and Education from Nottingham Trent University. He is a keen sportsman and currently plays for his local football team at the weekend.
Kathryn has a CET from the University of Warwick and a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Leeds. During her university days she coached an U15’s girls football team.
Chris was a Health Mentor for five years in Lincolnshire, part of the National PE Development Team for two years and was awarded National Health Mentor of the Year for 2015/16, becoming Regional Manager in August 2016. Chris is a Premier League accredited journalist and has previously worked as a football coach for Arsenal FC, delivering sessions in London, Greece and Indonesia. He was also a performance analyst at AFC Bournemouth. Chris holds a BSc (Hons) Sports Development and Coaching Sciences degree.
Melvin was a Health Mentor for 18 months where he developed first hand experience of the real difference that can be made in the role. Melvin has a passion for supporting young people and helping them to participate in sport and physical activities. Melvin holds a (BA Hons) in Sport Management.
Sascha has a background in communication and languages. He has a BA Applied Language Studies, French and Spanish from the University of West London. His teaching qualification is a PGCE in French from Leeds Trinity University.
