Today I made my way to the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Manchester Airport to meet Evolve’s directors Graham Morgan and John Price for the first time, so far I have only met John Bishop. It was interesting to get to meet with all three of the directors and get an idea of how they work together to run Evolve.
The main point of today’s meeting was to introduce myself to Graham and John Price and explain what I am going to be doing during my time with Evolve. After a chat over lunch we began to discuss the XLR8 Camps that will be starting in Lincoln on Monday 23rd July and continuing throughout Evolves regions during the summer. This was a great opportunity to understand the camps better and build upon what I already know about them from the website. Graham set me the task of researching Government transition courses and finding out what kind of budget has been allocated per child and how this should be spent.
I was also invited to attend Evolve’s Senior Management Meeting next week where I will be able to meet with Regional Managers from other parts of the country and learn more about the company as a whole. I have been set the task of preparing questions to grill the Regional Managers on their XLR8 Camps so this should keep me busy over the weekend.
Today’s meeting was useful and informative and I now have lots more tasks to be getting on with!
