Evolve are delighted to announce the appointment of John Price to their main board. John joins Evolve after leaving his post as Vice President of the Reebok brand in the USA.
John has previously worked for adidas in the UK as a Sales and Marketing Executive before joining adidas International to be in charge of all textiles for the FIFA World Cup 1998. John then helped set up the adidas brand in Japan.
From there, John enjoyed a very successful period with Phones 4 U as they enjoyed enormous retail expansion in the UK before joining Reebok US.
Evolve director Graham Morgan got to know John when they both worked for adidas in the UK and at adidas international HQ in Germany. They got back in contact with each other late last year and very quickly after some discussion about what Evolve were trying to achieve John expressed an interest in joining Evolve.
Both John Bishop and Graham could not believe their luck at John’s suggestion and quickly came to an agreement that suited all parties.
John Price commented on his decision: “I have been in the apparel business, and marketing, all my life. I am now married with children and felt I wanted a change in my job. I have always been interested in Graham’s passion for grassroots and the programmes he has created. I was equally impressed when I met John Bishop and I knew straight away that I could work with them as part of the Evolve team”.
John Bishop speaking about the appointment said “Both Graham and I knew we needed to add further directors to the Evolve team but financial pressures make it difficult as top people demand high salaries. However, with John we have created a package that suits us all.”
Graham Morgan says “I still cannot believe we have managed to secure John to the Evolve board. He brings a wealth of experience with him and a fresh outlook that will benefit both John (Bishop) and me.”
Graham continued “The Regional Managers of Evolve were suitably impressed when John attended his first meeting and the whole Evolve staff team feel very optimistic about the future with JP on board.”
The timing of this addition to the Evolve main board could not have been better with the many new opportunities now open to those companies providing external PE and Sport activities to schools.
